This afternoon around 5 o’clock, JRS and I were seated at the breakfast table studying and working on homework. All of a sudden the doorbell rang. Uh… We’re not expecting anyone. Who would be ringing the doorbell? We peeked around the corner to look through the front door but we couldn’t see. Moments later the doorbell rang again. Who is that? What do they want? Are they going to kill us? I built up the nerve and walked to the front door, looked through the window, saw no one and opened the door. An old, creepy white van with an ugly old man in the drivers seat, eerily looking back at us. I closed the door and then locked it.
We returned to the table to continue studying. Like any normal time that I study, I can’t focus, so I tried to distract myself by gazing out the window. Through the window that faces the backyard, and the other street in the neighborhood, I saw the image above — the creepy white van was spotted. They parked there for about ten minutes. JRS and I turned off all of the lights in the house, hid in the living room peering out of the window and waited as it seemed like time never passed.
I hope they were selling Girl Scout cookies…
