Cold, windy and wet conditions outside and drying, furnace-fueled heat indoors makes for brutal conditions. Your skin is often left either dry, cracked and flaky, or painfully tight, splotchy and burning. Good times, right?
The only defense is to keep your skin as healthy and hydrated as possible. And despite how good a hot shower feels in the morning, Andrew Goetz advises against it. “That’s the number one mistake guys make in the winter,” he says. “I know they feel nice, but they’ll dehydrate your skin very quickly.” Aim for lukewarm showers until March and follow these tips to get some cold comfort.

This is what I love about Winter. You wake up in the middle of the night, maybe just to pee or get water or something, look out the window and see this. It’s so beautiful. And it’s silent; you have no idea that it’s happening until you just look. It almost seems fake. And it makes your bed seem way more comfortable, for whatever reason.
Louis Vuitton’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection explores the elegance of Amish style and instilled it with a hint of strangeness.

Here are some of my favourite styles for this season. It’s a mixture of short and medium lengths of hair. All styled, the modern mess is the new classical piece and can take only a few short minutes and can look different everyday. To have crazy hair that stands out and grabs attention is the new conformity.
